Welcome to my workshop on literature review. This site is oriented towards educators and has been developed as part of the instructional design in digital learning program at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Following please find some guidelines to help you navigate this workshop.
Workshop Overview
By completing this workshop you will be able to explain the essential components and importance of literature reviews. You will also have the opportunity to review a sample coding form used to organize data collected during the review process. The research we will focus on in this workshop involves investigating the impact of the modality effect in online medical education modules.
Workshop Schedule
The workshop can be accessed in a sub-page titled "Literature Review Workshop". In this page you will find SMART learning objectives, an introduction to literature reviews and the research question we will be focusing on, a description and example of a coding form, some characteristics of a good literature review, and an assessment to measure your mastery of the learning objectives.
About Me
I'm an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Dermatology in the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. I'm a practicing dermatopathologist and teach pathology to first and second year medical students as well as dermatopathology to our dermatology residents.
